Access Methods

 Shortcut menu:  Right-click an embedded object and click OLE Convert.

List of Options

The following options are displayed,

Current Type

Displays the type of object you are converting or activating.

Object Type

Displays a list of available object types. If you select AutoCAD Entities, text is converted to a multiline text (mtext) object, a spreadsheet is converted to a table object, and a bitmap file is converted to an image object.

Convert To

Converts the embedded object to the type specified under Object Type.

Activate As

Opens the embedded object as the type selected under Object Type but returns the object to its current type after editing.

Display as Icon

Displays the source application's icon in the drawing. Double-clicking the icon displays the linked or embedded information.

Change Icon

Displays the Change Icon dialog box. This option is available only if you select Display as Icon.

Result

Describes the result of the selected options.
